Statement of Faith
At TCA, we affirm our faith in the following core beliefs, which serve as the foundation for our educational approach and the environment we create for our students.
1. The Nature of God
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — who is the Creator of all and the source of life, love, and truth.
Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4, John 1:1-3, John 10:30, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14
2. The Word of God
We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired authoritative Word of God. We believe that God’s Spirit spoke to real people in actual historical contexts that revealed His character, will and purpose in order to disclose that which we could not arrive at through reason alone. This revelation is the foundation of all truth, providing wisdom and guidance for life.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21
3. Imago Dei
We believe that each person is uniquely created in the image of God with inherent dignity and purpose.
Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 5:1-2; Genesis 9:6; Psalm 139-13-14; Ephesians 2:10
4. Royal Sons and Daughters of the King
We believe that through the acceptance of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, Christ-followers are adopted as royal sons and daughters of the King, receiving our true identity in Him.
Genesis 1:27; Romans 8:15; Galatians 4:6-7; 1 Peter 2:9
5. Salvation Through Christ
We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received by faith in Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and rose again for our redemption. Salvation marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of transformation within the body of Christ.
Romans 3:23-24; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Titus 3:5
6. The Role of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is present and active in the lives of believers, teaching, guiding, and empowering them to live in accordance with God’s will. Through the Holy Spirit, we are equipped to grow in faith, develop spiritual disciplines, and serve others with the love of Christ.
John 14:26; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:11; Galatians 5:22-23
7. The Kingdom of God
We believe that God’s kingdom is both a present reality and a future hope, and that we are called to actively participate in advancing God’s kingdom on earth, through love, service, and faithful stewardship of the gifts and talents entrusted to us.
Matthew 6:33; Luke 17:21; Romans 14:17
8. The Importance of Community
We believe growth happens best in Christ-centered community, where students, families, and faculty walk together in mutual support. We cultivate a community culture of belonging rooted in love, faith, and shared purpose.
Acts 2:42-47; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 4:15-16; Hebrews 10:24-25
9. The Call to Integrated, Whole-Person Development
We believe that education is a sacred calling to whole-person development – spiritually, intellectually, and morally. We are all life-long learners who are called to grow in wisdom, character, and spiritual maturity daily.
Luke 2:52; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Romans 12:1-2; Colossians 1:16, 28
10. The Great Commission
We believe that Christ-followers are called to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey everything Christ has commanded—not as mere obligation, but as the path to living in alignment with the way we were lovingly designed. Christ’s commands invite us into the fullness of life in His Kingdom, where obedience is not a burden but a gateway to joy, purpose, and flourishing. In Jesus Christ, God's love is fully revealed, and through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live lives of grace, service, and devotion.
Matthew 28:18-20; John 15:10-11; 2 Corinthians 5:20
